Good Price on CZ 75B Compact?

Based on TFL input, I went out to get a CZ 75B. The only CZ dealer near me wants $479 (or was it $489?) for a duo-tone compact. This seems a little steep to me, so I'm having my favorite dealer look into ordering one. In the meantime, can you tell me if this is an OK price? (I'm not looking at the PCR model--this is the all-steel duo-tone.)

BTW, they FINALLY got in the 75 SA that I've been pestering them about. The trigger is NICE.

When I lived in the PRK (just moved a few months ago) these went on sale in Southern CA often for 419.99. 479.00 was the regular high retail price.

There's a dealer here (Dallas area) that has a satin nickle compact for $389 (or less, can't quite remember). I was told that the satin nickle or two tone should be the same price. In fact I purchased a CZ 85 Combat in satin nickle and another one in two tone and they were the same price ($439). Given that my CZ85 Combat cost $439 (has rear adjustable sights) your dealer seems really high for the compact. But maybe the prices are different in Co. If you don't object to shopping online I'd contact Tom at Sporting Arms for a price quote. Address is www.sportingarms.com. There's also an online shop, CZ Connection that lists prices for all the CZs (I'm not recommending the store, just mentioning that they post prices). The address is http://pdmall.com/CZC/pistol~1.htm . I think they sell the compact for $389 + $20 for satin nickle or dual tone = $409.

imfletcher_1, the thing with Gunbroker is that they NEVER have CZ compacts. They have lots of the PCRs, but never the compacts. I think it's because it's mostly one or two guys doing all the CZs and they don't carry them.

I thought 479 was too high. I'll look into the ordering thing some more.

CZUSA only charges 10-15$ more for the other finishes over the base poly coat price. There is a NIB poly Compact locally for 389$
its a solid deal..they had a two tone a while ago for 419$ !

List on the compacts are actually more than the full size 75's. If you can get one cheaper than an 85...go for it. Shoot well and happy hunting....

I paid 300$ for a LNIB clean one owner...had 2 boxes of shells thru it and came with everything. Just for comparison sakes.

Hmm...I got the local guy to go down to $450 plus tax. That's not exactly a bargain, but it's not bad either. Right?...

Shmackey,
Its an OK price. The MSRP is 508.00 $ for the poly gun. Its about 1/2 way from MSRP and a better deal. I wouldnt jump outa my skin getting to the store..but if its the best price you have seen locally...get it. If you get one off of the net, you are looking 400.00$ plus shipping 10-25$ and transfer/paperwork 10-30 $
.you are about the same as a higher priced internet deal. just for perspective......

Shoot well

Try Tom & Joe's at 303/231-0998. He can order it for you, but I doubt he stocks it. Good guy, good prices, good service.

If you're up for a drive, call Jensen's in Loveland at 970/663-5994. Stocking dealer for much of CZ's line, and good prices.

Sf Bay area for $420

I did some shopping around and found a couple of places who don't normally stock CZ's willing to order it for $420 based on me pointing out the CZ Connection price (try pawn shops).
Most of the dealers nearby were asking around $460-$480, but I found a CZ dealer about 45 minutes away who had it for $420, duo-tone.
