Tempted to pick one up, looked at some comps. on Ebang/GB/AA. Seems like a fair price, $550 in very good to excellent condtion; curious what you all think. Bicentennial marked on barrel.

How "collectible" are these rifles-tough to sell, niche market?
Good investments?

TY in advance.

I don't know about collectable, but my grandmother has one for deer hunting and its a nice rifle.

I personally think they are to much money for what you get, but I prefer high-powered rifles. My M1 carbine kicks more than that .44 mag cartridge and that carbine doesn't kick at all.

Their price has been going up the last few years since they only made them in the 60's and 70's and people seem to like them alot for what they are. They're not tough to sell from what I've seen at gun shows, but thats around here in the boonies.

$550 is probably a good price if its in excellent condition, but there ones that are a little rougher around the edges that are more work horsish for $400.

I have a standard carbine, not the liberty commemorative. I do like it a lot, considering selling mine to pick up the liberty.

Anyone need a .44 carbine?

FWIW, in 1976, Ruger marked EVERY firearm they made with the stamping "Made in the 200th Year of American Liberty" - rifles, pistols, whatever.

Just as, in 1994, Winchester stamped every Model 94 leveraction with "1894-1994".

While some folks like the inscription, there's no special/extra value imputed to arms with them, over any other like arm in the same condition.
