Good price for new Kimber?

OK, I'm in the market for a new 1911, and have pretty much settled on the Kimber. Man, they are scarce in my neck of the woods. I did find a new blued Kimber Gold Medal Match, I think that's the right model name. Bright blue polish finish, double diamond checkered grips, ambi safties, adjustable sights, ect... This shop is very proud of this particular handgun, to the tune of $900.00. Is that a decent price or what would be a decent price, thanks in advance.

The shop I work for just ordered one in for a fellow. We charged him about $920, if I recall correctly, so you're definitely in the right neighborhood.

That is an excellent price. Locally the Gold Match seem to range $925 plus or minus $30 depending on the competition, availability and of course the "political" environment.

I usually list them in that range. Right now they are at $949 but you have shipping and tranfer fees to add.

Take advantage of the deal. It is very fair

I just bought a Kimber Classic
Gold Match this week. Blued finish.
The gun was pre-owned, but looks new.
My question is this. The gun does not
have the ambi safety. The safety looks
original, so assuming it is, is this an
early variation of the Gold Match?

I bought a Kimber from them. Adding shipping and paying an FFL to take delivery was still much cheaper than going through a local dealer. They're pretty good on answering their emails, but on the weekends they're usually working a show.

Good luck,

I don't know what the price difference is between blued and stainless, except that stainless is higher. When I bought my stainless Gold Match, it was from an online dealer in New Mexico who charged $900. There's shipping, of course, and I paid a $25 FFL transfer fee to my dealer. If you want the name of the New Mexico dealer, I'll look it up. He must do a ton of Kimber sales to offer the prices he does.

Thanks guys for the advise. I'm going for it, especially after the dealer came down in price to $810.00, giving me 10% off the top end. By the way, this is an absolutely beautiful 1911. I have my old 1958 Colt National Match (which is in 95% condition) and just sold a stainless Colt Series 80. Lately I've been shooting my Sig's and Kahrs a bunch, but dang it, I can't get that 1911 feeling out of my system. Needing a shooter, this seems a great candidate. Thanks again for the time.
