Good news for PSL and Dragunov hunters!

mine

My ssg-97 (another PSL variant) does not like that load, 3MOA plus. But.......maybe some of that brass will surface soon as well.

I carrried mine several times this year for ROW and shooting house hunts, but saw no deer I was intersested in shooting.

Some have had great luck with it, and some haven't. YMMV.
I'm also saving up for Red Star trigger, so that should help compensate if it doesn't like the ammo.

triggers

I had good luck w/ a tapco trigger in an AK project so bought another for the PSL/SSG.

I was pretty disappointed, the "new" Tapco for the PSL/SSG was not the equal of the first one I'd gotten for the AK project, and I ended up returning it.

A better trigger would help no doubt.

I shoot .308 dia projectiles in mine (reloads). Are you loading and what dia are you shooting if so?

So far I've shot Wolf and Wolf Gold (rebranded prvi) out of it.
It seemed to like the Wolf Gold. It was keeping it under 2" with that.

.308-.311

Don't want to get to far from your OP, but......I intend to try a .311 reload before this deer season. My SSG is a sit and wait rifle. To many sharp edges to carry very far, and the length is not good for slipping through brush.
It will turn some heads in the woods though!

I keep hearing about Wolf Gold but have not tried it yet.
