Good legal Sources (from Another list)

During a bit of off-list chitchat, one of our list colleagues mentioned that
it is difficult for the average citizen to reference and review case law.
Not so, say I, and offer some of the sources that I use:
http://www.findlaw.com/casecode/ http://www.findlaw.com/index.html http://www.findlaw.com/casecode/constitution/ http://supct.law.cornell.edu/supct/cases/name.htm#Case_Name-M http://www.lawguru.com/ http://supct.law.cornell.edu/supct/ http://www.uscourts.gov/allinks.html http://www4.law.cornell.edu/uscode/ http://www.legalethics.com/index.law

There are also a number of Colorado legal sites on the web, including a
searchable database of the entire suite of statutes. This seems to be true
of most other states as well. Certainly you should be able to find websites
for your state court system, the state legislature, bills up for debate and
potential passage, and so on.

For those who may be interested in the Colorado links:
http://www.state.co.us/dgovern.html http://www.state.co.us/gov_dir/stateleg.html http://www.cobar.org/coappcts/opinions.htm http://www.leg.state.co.us/inetcrs.nsf/caff08b8a0e34035872565e8006d65f8/$sea
rchForm?SearchView (this one is truncated in the line above and continued
here) http://www.courts.state.co.us/ct-index.htm http://www.cobar.org/coappcts/scndx.htm http://www.state.co.us/gov_dir/leg_dir/olls/rulereg.htm

These sources are a lot better than some of the inaccurate and often
hysterical notes that get passed around the internet.
