Good Gunshop Find !

Went to my local gunshop today with the intent on ordering a new 625JM today. while I was waiting I saw this sweet 586-4 4" barell for $310.00. It came home with me !! Norm. :D

Thanks guys, at that price I couldn't pass on it! Bullrock...no I didn't get the 625JM ...yet. The gunshop quoted me a price of $675.00,I think i'll wait awhile.Yes,I deffenately am looking into getting some nice wood grips for it...Norm.
 
I'll look forward to seeing your 586 with the new grips...I paid $625.00 for my 625jm 6 weeks ago. It's a great shooting gun!!!

586 Re-gripped

I picked up these rare Morando wood grips. I think that they make a BIG difference...Norm.

I'm green. A nice 586 is still missing in the line up of my collection. Snagged a minty nickle 581 last year, but I love the blued S&W's. Enjoy it!
 
Thanks for the compliments...I just happened to be in the "right place at the right time!" Yes, the grips were expensive (about $80.00) but they are a rare Morando wood from Africa (I have the original packaging) and Hammerdown (Kurt Vogler) did a superior finishing job on them. I also went to the range with it last Sun. (before I changed the grips) It shoots so wonderful, nice tight groups at 25'. One of the "old timers" there remarked on what a nice trigger it has. Overall, a very unusual find for me! Norm
