Ok, lets see your best groups with .38 wadcutters! I was lucky enough to do this one with some home brewed 148 copper clad W/C and 2.9gr of CLAYS

Is that a S&W M14? I just picked up one that looks like yours for Bullseye competition later this year. What year is yours?

M14: you didn't say what range it was? If that's 25 yards, that's pretty amazing. Even if it's 17 yards, it's still outstanding.

I shot my 6" 686 with UltraDot last night in bullseye leage (25 yard, standard NRA target B-8). I have brand new classes and an "iris" peep hole sighter on and I can count the wrinkles in the target it's so clear. I use target sighting and zeroed in on the "X" for alignment and my first shot went right through it and the X disappeared (some luck involved obviously). I ended up shooting 296/300 on that target. I don't have a digital camera so I can't post it, but that's my best group yet.

Hey guys.
No B/S! that was 25 yards at a local indoor range!
I was so amazed that I had to write it down on the target to remember.
I got the Wadcutters from Graf & sons, they are Berry's Mfg. 148 gr. wadcutters that are copper clad. 2.9gr of clays is the load I was using. When I brought the target in I almost Sh**!

I don't know what year the gun was made, but it's a 14-3. When I bought it from a retired GA. state trooper who used to shoot bullseye. I could not hit anything with it untill I worked a load out!
Now there is no stopping the lil' 14:D:p

m14nut...

"No B/S!"

That group is not that hard to believe, if you do your part, the gun will certainly do it's part. Still, it's a good group and you should be proud of it.

If you give me the serial number (all except the last three numbers, just use "xxx" for those) I will try to give you the year of manufacture.
