So hit the range again today and after running my usual set of drills, I decided to try another five-shot group at 25 yds with my relatively new Ruger SR1911 LW Cmdr in 9mm. Considering just how 'stock' this gun is (no match trigger, no match barrel, clanks just a bit when you shake it, etc.), I'm impressed. And this is just another example of how it's just better to be lucky rather than good.
Out of curiosity, does anyone else find themselves aiming a little lower than normal for these longer shots? My POA for this group was the top of the small box below the larger one. First round is the center hit; maybe I should've stopped right there . . .
