I like the site, but their recipe for Tick Stew had me going for a minute.

The coon recipes make me wonder, does cooking kill the rabies virus?

I'm not so sure I'll be eating stewed or roasted possum either, but I like knowing that if I ever get that hungry- you can make it taste alright.

I was showing it to my grandmother and she said that both coon and possum are kinda greazy compared with other wild game. They ate lots of strange stuff during the depression.

I'd really like to find some good wild game recipe books that I could use. My brother had one from an outdoor life years ago that was great but I haven't found it at halfprice books yet.
