I was at the gun store over the weekend and what did I see but a used Remington 700 BDL wooden stock with a High Country 16 power scope in 338 Winchester Magnum for $425. That seemed a little too good of a price, but I bought it anyhow. I doubt I'll ever shoot it enough to wear it out, but it's nice to have a complement to the 458 Win Mag Savage. I figure the 338 is capable of taking down everything on Earth but the giant African beasts while the 458 will take them down. I don't hunt, but do like big powerful guns. I don't know much about scopes but it came with the gun so I didn't complain. Did I get a decent gun or get taken?
