What would be a good choice 223 bolt gun for cyot, fun for rabbit and other Med to small game. I would like a 1 in 8 but would settle for a 1 in 9

If you just want something short and handy, consider the CZ 527 carbine. I have one in x39 and other than a couple issues with the mags, it's been great.

Tikka T3 Lite,1 in 8, 6 3/16 lbs with accuracy guarantee. Picked up one last week to match my 30-06, extreeeeemmly impressed with it with 69 and 77 grain Scenars.

I have some savages and they are great great rifles but their stocks stink weak in the front and if getting a savage get wood the model 10 predator and the 12 vlp (wood stock great) and I do find more FPS in the 26'' vs the 22''.

the Howa is just as the vanguard and is a classy quality rifle very nice rifle.

Without a doubt, no question about it. A Savage with Accutrigger.

Savage all the way..best triggger out of the box and they are tack drivers..plenty of after market parts to trick them out too.

I wished hat there was an importer that would bring back the "mini-mauser" for a bit,,,,,,Rem was, I guess the last one, and you can still find one of those 799's but their likely to be pricey!!! As far as what is easy to get and brand new I would have to say I'd try the Savage also!!;)

CZ527 ist great rifle. I own one in x39 and one 223. Magazin release is something you have to get used to.
If you want something REALY great get yourself an Anschütz 1770. Its pretty expensive but worth every penny.
