I hope that caught your attention. :p

Soon, very SOOOOOOOOON, I will be heading outta here for a "quiet" sedate shooting vacation, the Suburban is loaded, except for the various firearms, and I'm itching to hit the road. Nothing to do for a few days except to shoot until I barf.
When I return, I'll expect this place to be still here, the empty Shiner bottles on top of the TV removed and several good reports on Tamara waiting for me.

I'll miss ya guys.

Don't forget to post a range (after action) report when you return, with pics if you can.

Happy shooting. :)

Jim-
Buy yourself a Shiner Bock on me!!!!!

General went down again this AM. Jim was on the ball though. He emailed me that it went down after his post....only thing out of the ordinary he'd tried was the "barf" smilie. Sure enough, that's the culprit. !!!!

Please don't use that smilie....lemme work on it.

TFL Rule book page Section 1876, paragraph 579-zk-294-i, page 23,623 states "Bashing, to include Flaming, Derogitory Statements, and just plain old put downs, of Chevy Suburbans will not be tolerated." ;)

But Jim, myself, and other Burb owners can take it.... know why... cause like our Burbs we're "like a Rock".

No, wait, aaaaaa, thats not want I wanted to say.... we're not Rocks... aaaaaa.

Let me think up another analogy. When I come up with one I'll let you know but right not I'm going to load a apple pie into the Burb, go to a Baseball game and eat hotdogs.

Jim - Have fun! (like how could you not?)

Jim

I never did like you much ;)

Hope you've got the spare fuel tanker on the trailer hitch. (snigger, snigger)

Remember your ground clearance, too -- converting from metric it's about 2.34412 inches ..... hehehehehe

Seriously, have fun, and fire off a few pointless, senseless, fun rounds for me!!

After you receive clearance and blessing from OPEC to start your journey, (couldn't resist) :D, have a great time, and enjoy all our fine country has to offer.

p.s. Are they measuring that in G.P.M. (gallons per mile) still? :)

Jim... Hope you come back with blisters on your trigger finger, a sore shoulder and not one live round left in the hul....er....car.

I have returned, :( . It was a great weekend, gas was gawdawful, $2.19/gallon at one place where I bought it. I was afraid I'd have to sell a gun just to pay for it. LOL.

No belt feds this time, only several H&K MP-5SD's. Good enough, not my guns or my ammo, even better. Shot up a lot of .45 and picked up more brass than I fired, :) . Got to do some 365 yard shooting with the .308 Mauser and SAR-48. Once I got the Mauser rear sight adjusted, I was doing pretty good on the 10" gong. I was able to pick off several of the clay pigeons using the '48 and it's 2X scope. I just may have to get another bolt rifle with a better 'scope.

Let me tell you, gas mileage is a lot better driving south than north, oh, that's right a lot less weight to haul.

You don't sell the gun, you use the gun to knock the joint over and get the five finger gas discount.

Anyhow, K.C. police report a wave of drive-offs, and we're only at ~1.80 a gallon. I can't wait until it goes up to what they pay in Sh_tcago and Milwaukee.
