    1. Copying and pasting entire articles from another site to TFL is strictly prohibited. The same applies to articles from print or other media, and to posting photographs taken of copyrighted pages or other media.

    2. Copyright law provides for “fair use” of portions of a copyrighted work. You can copy no more than a SINGLE paragraph from the article to your post (3 or 4 sentences at most).

    3. You must provide a link to the article along with the name of website. For example: ww.xxx.yyy/zzz (The Lower Thumbsuck Daily News).

    4. You must provide, in your own words, a brief summary of the article AND your reasons for believing it will be of interest to TFL members. Failure to do so may result in the thread being closed or your post being deleted as a “cut and paste drive by.”

    5. Photographs and other images are also copyrighted. "Hotlinking" of images (so that it appears in your message) from other sites is also prohibited unless you own rights to the image. If you wish to share an image, provide a clickable link to it.

Posts that do not follow these new guidelines will be altered or deleted by staff. Members who continue to violate this policy may lose their posting privileges at TFL.

Good Boards (including TFL) appear to be slow

Has anyone noticed that things appear to be rather slow over here? Threads which normally would fill up before I even would have a chance to add my $0.02 worth, are hardly getting a nibble. The hot threads which are filling up, are doing so over the period of a few days instead of several hours. I've noticed this inactivity across other gun boards as well.

Since this appears to be wide spread, I'm just wondering if we lost a major part of the country with regard to connectivity and members can't connect not only to TFL but to other boards as well.

Has anyone else noticed this? Any ideas as to what might be going on?

I noticed it and thought that a whole bunch of folks must have sold their computers to buy duck decoys or a new treestand or something. We know they weren't watching the Olympics. They'll be back. Later, John

FUD, Seems everything in the conference center is slow. I cannot access the legal forum at all. It freezes up at 39%. Is this just an awful coincidence, or something more sinister? Ray

I didn't mean slow as in connectivity, but slow in the sense that all of this week a lot of the boards aren't as active as they were in the past -- not only on TFL but other gun boards as well.

Maybe everyone is trying to get as much shooting in as they can before the bad weather hits.
