Good Ammunition Price?

I have a friend that is going to sell me a crate of 7.62x39 1300 rds steel core still sealed up in two cans inside the crate. He told me tell him how much I want to give to him for it, he wants to give me a good price, but I don’t want to completely steal it from him he is a good friend. I was just wondering what a good price for this for me to tell him.

If you don't want to "steal" it, but still get a good deal... I'd offer him somewhere between $275 or $325. That's just a guess though. I just bought 500rds of steel cased JHP 7.62x39 online for $139 shipped.
