I have a taurus PT111 and was wondering which self defense(+P)load I could use without tearing it up i cant afford blowing it up or melting it all to hell

My bulldog was ran over by a car last week therefore I joined AUTOMOBILE CONTROL INC. those damn cars should be taken off the street

Bounty Hunter,I use Remington Golden Saber +P 124 grain Jacketed hollowpoint for defense load. I notice a bit more punch in this round, but not enough to throw off accuracy, especially at the probable defense distances. From what I have read etc, about the PT-111 there is no need for concern of wearing it out.It is a stout little gun,I have yet to have a malfunction in almost 2 years, same goes for my Ruger P-95 as well as my Taurus PT-99. I am an equal opportunity lead slinger.....PJ

BountyHunter,
I concur with pjo759, the G.S. is an excellent performer. Another good round for your pistol would be the 115g +P Rem. JHP. This is the loading that DR. Topper selects and uses as his personal "cary" round. Both the FBI and Border Patrol have used variants of this competent and effective bullet/loading. It's one of the finest 9mm rounds ever put together. Do not fret over the weight... it will perform like a big boy.

Regards,
Bill
