Gonna Do It

Well, I decided to try a transaction found over the internet. I am sending the money order today for a 1974 Belgian Hi Power. It is supposed to be 95+%. I am getting it for what I think is a good price ($400) if it is in the condition the gentleman says it is in. I have another, same year, but with adjustable sights in pristene condition that I keep in the safe and take it out to admire. This one I want to shoot, as the Hi Power is the only gun that feels as good to me as my 1911's! Wish me luck!

...defend the 2nd., it protects us all.
No fate but what we make...

I think I'd prefer to have it delivered to my local dealer, where he could make the $$$/hardware exchange if it arrived in satisfactory condition.

Not sure what you mean. I thought the one's FFL was supposed to send the check and signed copy of his license to the seller's FFL. Should a person request to see a pistol before sending money? I always thoght money came before.

Good luck with your transaction. Let us know how it turns out.

So many pistols, so little money.

I am in the same boat. I did ask for serial ##s and ran a check on them. No hits so I hope it is clean. It is a little nerve racking to send a M.O. to another state. But I did check the persons info through the net. I.E. his phone # to the name/address he gave. The location he said he bought it from called them and confirmed that part of the story. Let him know that if any part was illegal I would be willing to spend lots of time to assist his state LEOs to arrest him.
With all that it was still hard to put the check "M.O." in the mail. Hope we both are happy with our purchases.
