I own a grade 2 GE 12 ga O/U. 2 3/4 in chamber, ejectors, vent. 28" barrels fixed choke I/C and MOD with mech trigger, pistol grip stock w/butt plate. Has anyone seen any other mfg set up like this one.
Sorry, i don't have a camera. I just thought this shotgun has an unusual group of features seldom if at all seen in one gun. like barrels of 28" fixed choke are usually imp/full and inertia trigger on a 12 is more the norm.
The Golden Eagle was made by Nikko of Japan. I had one about thirty years ago, liked it a lot. but somebody else liked it more. I wish that I had it back.
The Golden Eagles were made in the same plant as the Winchester 101s. After the Ohlin - Kedensu breakup, the Japanese company continued to produce these guns and renamed them GOlden Eagles - with the nifty gold eagle on the sides of the receiver.
These guns were also sold under the Nikko brand during the Winchester 101 manufacturing. It's what broke up the partnership. The best stock blanks were all going to the in-house Nikko line and Winchester was getting the rest. The Ohlin guys were not too happy with the situation, especiaqlly after all the money they invested in the plant in Japan....
