Golden Boy .17HMR

Went to a local shop with a couple shooting buddies to browse. Had read good things about the Henry Golden Boy rim fires so asked if they had a .17HMR I could look at. Showed me a NIB on clearance for $375. Better price than I'd seen anyplace on line so I grabbed it.

Can't wait to get it out to the range and see how it shoots. They're supposed to be quite accurate.

Now I gotta get some new cleaning supplies. Don't have anything that will go down a .17 barrel.

Nice choice! You'll come to love the caliber. Try to watch the suppliers and buy on sale. .17HMR is a great ground squirrel caliber as long as your not trying to retain the meat. It's the Red-Mist Express. HEAD SHOT= 10 points.

I don't know about the lever .17hmrs but my ruger 77/17 is my go to gun for ground hogs out to 100 yards! I have droped them at 125 but its only in still air no side to side wind! I'm sure you will grow to love the gun and round! Great buy!
