The only people who have seen them are gun writers and they have only seen prototypes. I certainly hope this isn't another one of Ruger's imaginary shotguns like their much hyped but seldom seen single-barrel trap guns.
Ruger's approach is to build anticipation through endless hype in the gun mags and generally let the consumer down when the gun finally arrives (if it ever does). I am very skeptical of the claims of 6.5 lbs. Even if it does meet that goal, I suspect with 3" chambers the barrels will be so thick as to make the gun extremely nose heavy like the Red Label.
But if you insist on an American-made sxs this may well be your only choice in a moderate price range. The Ithaca, Galazan Fox and Dakota are more expensive and in the case of at least two, their actions come from offshore.
Except for Red China I don't care where a gun comes from providing it does the job. If on the day you first read about the Gold Label, you had instead decided to order an AyA Model 4 or an Ugartechea Model 40, you'd be shooting it by now and would have IMHO a superior product for around $2,000.
