Gold Cup Grips

Got a great deal on a Series 70 Gold Cup National Match this weekend. Only one problem. Someone thought Pachmayre wrap around grips were better than the originals. I would like to replace these with original grips. Any suggestions on were to look for original grips?:(
 
Brownells, does not carry the ORIGINAL series 70 gold cup grips.
Original grips are full checkered (not double diamond) with gold
colt medallion. Not available at Brownells.
 
Gun Parts Corporation, but, you never know what you will get with those guys. They do have a liberal return policy, though.

Many years ago I managed to pick up a few sets of Colt 1911 grips that were from the Colt Custom Shop from them. Even though they were new, some were pretty rough from handling. Lesson learned was that when buying from them, buy several and return the worst ones!!
 
Shoot mine with the original grips. Works fine. Shame about not having the original grips on yours.

you could try to contact them via telephone and ask where soem might be available. once i called about a 1991 and they were extremely nice and helpful. good luck, and safe shootin'.

Ive got a couple new take offs in the drawer. One pebble grain, one checkered. Silver medallions though. Crappy picture below. If you think you want lemmee know.
