Going to AZ Border to volunteer with the Minutemen

I am taking 2 days off work that I stocked up as vacation and comp time to go to the border and work with the Minutemen Civil Defense Corps and help bring attention to the border plight.

I could be using my vacation to go somewhere else that would be more fun. I could have used my $50 Minuteman registration fee for a plane ticket to San Diego, or Las Vegas, or somewhere fun.

But I didn't. Because it's time to get some work done that our president isn't doing. Becuase it's time to get some work done that our governors aren't doing.

Make no mistake: The laws against illegal immigration are already on the books. Enforcement protocols and sentencing guidelines have been designed.

The only missing part of the puzzle is enforcement.

Any act by Congress to address this issue will result in a LOSS FOR ALL OF US. Congress writes law; it does not execute it. The law is already written, so if Congress addresses it again, it is for AMNESTY and invalidation of your value as an American citizen.

Ladies and Gentlemen, this is not a battle for Congress to address. This is a battle that all forms of the executive branch of government must be coerced into obeying the law and the will of the American people. Everybody, from the President of the United States, to the FBI, to ICE, to the Mayberry Police Department, who is employed with executive powers of government, must be tasked with righting this wrong done to the American taxpaying public.

I invite all of you to join me on the border, north or south, this month. I invite all of you to join me as a Minuteman. Whether you stand in Washington state watching for BC drugrunners, Arizona watching for illegal aliens, or Washington DC lobbying for increased funding for the enforcement of our nation's sovereignty, I stand with you.

Please join. Or donate.

And you'd probably be shocked and disgusted to discover what those were.

BTW, where are you going to be working in this regard?

In my mind, what you are doing is 10 times more important than what our poor men in Iraq are being wasted in doing.

Wish they were brought home to protect their borders and country.

I don't mean that comment as a knock against the U.S. men in arms over in Iraq, but at the whole policy that put them their and keeps them there in the first place.

Good job asredhawk44.

I live in Texas, maybe I should be thinking about doing the same.

I think us TFL members in Arizona should get together and form a group so that we can work together on our illegal immigrant problems here at home

Well, Redhawk - you are now officially a "domestic terrorist" according to one George W. Bush.:barf: :barf:

Good luck and be safe, brother. And if you see border crossers with the MS-13 tatoos, they're all in Spanish, but I'll translate - in English, they would say "SHOOT ME.":D :D

I agree. We should leave this job to the professionals. We should all be thrilled that they're only letting a few million people illegally cross the border each year.

Perhaps they're not doing their job because they're too busy doing the DEA's job?

Why tyme, was that sarcasm I detected? There were no smileys or font effects to denote it as such.:p

...you stand in Washington state watching for BC drugrunners
How did you know? LOL

I am so frustrated with this situation that I am ready to do something. Sure wish I could afford a month in AZ, but I guess Bellingham has it's charms too-like a campus full of hotties in spring attire :)

one would think

one would think that this is a no brainer.......lets see.....we have borders that have ocean, dessert, sandy beaches, rocky cost, hot weather cold weather and all in between.
for the life of me i can't figure out why our national guard units are not rotated to each and every one of these sites for their combat training.......lets see, we are in a war in the dessert.....we are in a war with mountains and cold weather.....am i missing something or are we peeing away the perfect oppertunity to train our troops for what they may face without ever leaving the country?

joe has a good point

Kinda echos what I was saying. Put our troops on the borders. If they need to practice engaging BGs, just look to the Mexican Army then take em out. It is not like the Navy and CG and state/county patrol boats could not patrol the coasts and interior waterways with the ships we have deployed in the gulf etc. The state has cigarette boats for LE, why not use them as interceptors? I have never seen one in the water. Why?

I think the problem is that the media and minority groups support illegals. They are duplicitous, confusing the real issues of illegal immigration, terrorism and drug traffic with people seeking asylum etc.

And I cannot understand that American citizens feel the need to explain carrying guns. Since when is that a police only power? Since Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot etc. started their terror. Am I the only one who sees this historical pattern-disarm then subjugate?

No I am not suggesting starting a war. The Mexican government has already made several acts of war against us. I am simply suggesting that we meet force with force and defend our land.

What "force" are implying needs to be met? Have illegals been assisted across the border by uniformed soldiers of the Mexican armed forces? Have any shots been fired at border guards by Mexican government employees? What "acts of war" do you mean?

He's talking about the pair of Mexican Army Humvees with heavy machine guns mounted on top of them, that crossed the US/Texas border at the Rio Grande about a month ago. They were escorting several SUV's that were carrying marijuana bails. When local law enforcement moved to intercept, the SUV's turned back into mexico, escorted by the military HUMVEE's. One got stuck in the mud of the dried up river, and a humvee helped pull it out. In the meantime, the second humvee put a man up on the gun who charged the weapon and trained it on the responding deputy's vehicle to discourage him from intervening.

I'd say that is conclusive evidence of Mexican military breaking our sovereignty and aiding one particular group of drug runners. It has happened nearly 300 times in the last 10 years, for various reasons from human trafficking to drug running.
