You guys ever sitting at work, knowing that something awesome is waiting for you at home???

I am sitting at work getting texts from my wife about all of the packages arriving. She, of course, is not thrilled at all of the things I ordered :D ... lol

- Permit to Purchase (Yay MN) get to pick up my new XDM Compact 9mm
- 1000 rounds (luckygunner, about 21 cents per 9mm round)
- New gun belt
- New IWB holster (crossbreed)
- New Spyderco Delica 4 (yes, honey, another knife)

:D :D :D :D

I should just leave work, right? Productivity may suffer on a Friday with new Guns/Knives/Ammo sitting in my living room!!

I love it when that happens. I love the anticipation of picking up the new gun is fabulous. :D

Early/Late tax refund? Lottery numbers?

Haha! Unfortunately, nothing quite so easy... Good old fashion hard work and saving. I have been looking at the XDM for a while and decided to get it, found a great deal, and with Springfield's gear promo I couldn't NOT buy it :D The ammo I bought because a buddy showed me a good deal. The other stuff was pretty much a matter of playing online late at night and clicking "add to cart" too much, haha.

My buddy picked up an XD(m) 9 compact after shooting my full-size. It shoots like a dream. Amazing trigger on his. Good choice and good luck!

How ya think I feel? I drive cross-country for anywhere between 4-6 weeks at a time, and hate when stuff arrives, especially when it's literally within a couple days of leaving out. Talk about anticipation!

Pffft!

You have to wait a few hours, I have special shinny go fast gun parts coming from France. Been checking progress every few hours since ordering .

'scuse me for a sec.....

Drat! No movement since before starting this post :(

Ahhhh . . . one thing you should remember . . . your job provides you with the funds to buy those things. Texting while you are supposed to be working?

I'm happy for you that you have things coming . . but at work, you are supposed to be working for who ever employs you. At least that's the way I was brought up. Just sayin'

I know the feeling. I ordered on Amazon my SOG Flash II knife on the 3rd and they finally shipped on the 6th. WTH ??

As to all the goodies you got, you B******. :D

One needs a permit to purchase a firearm in MN!? Does the permit obviate the need for your gunshop to conduct a background check with the FBI?

Permit to purchase is required to buy a handgun in MN and I believe requires an annual renewal. A permit to carry negates the need for a PtP.

Thanks for your concern regarding my work ethic... Thankfully there is one factor you aren't taking into account. 1) Break time is my time.

You need a permit to purchase in MN to buy a handgun of "assault rifle." It is good for a year, and it takes place of the background check at the store. Once I have the permit I can go to any store and buy all the guns... In the store they do a 5 minute "make sure the FBI hasn't revoked your permit to purchase" check, but otherwise smooth sailing.

I will take some pictures tonight and post them, and maybe a few of the Spyderco too for you knife sickos (you are in good company, haha)
