Going on Safari in Namibia, May-June 2008 - anyone want to tag along?

Found a killer deal for a 7 day hunting safari in Namibia, staying at the home of a wealthy retired German doctor and his wife and staff. Huge amount of land, trophy-quality game, and the lodging, meals, drinks, and hospitality are supposedly 5-star. But the price is just too damn good - this is the first year he's opened up to a limited number (10 only) of Americans as he has only had Germans and some other Europeans hunt there for the last few years.

I'm going by myself (wife doesn't fly) but would really like to have someone else along to share the fun, as well as do some touring around the country before or after the hunting.

If anyone is interested in this, IM or email me - I've always wanted to do this and I decided, what the hell, you only live once. And who knows what 2009 will bring, especially with political developments, the weakening dollar, etc.

Well, still searching for a hunting companion to tag along - I guess it is pretty difficult to find someone willing to cough up the kind of dough we're talking about and go along with someone he barely knows. Well, if I end up doing this solo I'm sure I'll still have fun, but the post-hunting tourist stuff may end up being limited, as I don't know how comfortable I'll be driving around Namibia by myself.

If anyone is still interested, email me and I'll send you a pdf brochure of the ranch where the hunt takes place, as well as a Hunt Report on it.

John, I have a friend who has hunted in Namibia a few times and loves both it and the German colonial / African culture.

Regretably it is out of my budget at the moment, but it is something I would like to do at some stage.

Thank guys! I have already bought an extra memory card for the camera, and will probably get another too just to be on the safe side. I'm not a huge picture taker, but I think that will change on this trip.

I suppose "want" and "can" are the defining terms right now. If I could afford it and had the know how I wouldn't be here right now, but in africa with my own guiding business. :(

Hey Guys, related question...

I'd like to go on Safari with John in Namibia in May -June 2008 - anyone want to fund my trip? I'll split the trophies down with ya.... one horn for me, one for you, one horn for me, one for you, and I'll take lots of pictures and send them by cell phone nightly so you can live vicariously through me to get your money's worth. :D

My only problem is the style of hunting. My old worn-out back doesn't let me walk very far at any one time. I sit real good, though. :)
