Going from 6POS to fixed stock.

The last item is to attach a sling in single point style I believe (at the rear of the receiver). You should have a standard sling loop on the rifle butt stock, unless you just prefer to use it as a single point style. Also, you should be able to loosen the castle nut with a pin punch and hammer. Just put the punch against one of the notched out areas and tap it loose.
 
Most fixed stocks have a "rifle" length buffer tube. It is a little longer than the carbine or 5/6 position buffer tubes.

So you will need a "rifle" buffer spring and a "rifle" buffer.
