GOA? Hello?

I belong to both NRA and GOA. I just looked at the GOA website to see what kind of press releases they might have put out in the last couple of days supporting and adding to the NRA's offensive against Clinton-Gore (e.g., "Wayne LaPiere struck the correct note, but he didn't go nearly far enough in laying bare the lies and distortions..."). But nothing. Was there something there and I missed it? Or is GOA going to sit on its hands? If they do, they are going to lose me.

Byron...

The GOA has stood firmly to their conviction that ALL gun laws are unconstitutional, and therefore cannot (and will not) promote enforcement of existing illegal gun laws, regardless of the current mud flinging.

I agree with GOA 100%. I do support the NRA's public bashing of Clinton/Gore, but they need to be even MORE aggressive. They need to ultimately be in a position to force the repeal of ALL gun laws, as the GOA has always tried to do.

What the NRA does here is so critical, since they are attacking years of propaganda that has mesmerized the American public into believing the main stream LIES! GOA has never candy coated their agenda with compromises, and isn't about to start now.

Rush Limbaugh made the argument this morning (he devoted the whole first hour to praising LaPiere's attack on Clinton) that Clinton-Gore are not used to anyone standing up and calling them out like this and are on the run on this issue. Limbaugh hopes that other, non-gun interest groups will see this and grow some spine, too. In any case, if the Administration has been taken by surprise and is reeling a bit, now is the time to pile on. To me that means GOA, JPFO, etc. all weighing in, not leaving it up to the NRA to look like the Lone Ranger. It's easier to demonize and dismiss one group than several. Clinton-Gore suddenly look very vulnerable on the issue of failing to prosecute existing laws. The data are stunning and all on our side, and it ought to be raining down on these lying hypocrites from every direction. Any other disagreements between organizations can be worked out later. Spot on, Byron.

If "we" would only stand up for ourselves when confronted .... too often "we" try to appear reasonable. Doesn't cut jack with teh antis as they want it all anyway.

Rather than give in & whining pleasantries, "we" should be "in your face."

I just saw Larry Pratt tell Geraldo Rivera last night on CNBC that the US justice department shows that Violent crime has skyrocketed in England and is now higher then the US. Also there are over 3,000,000 illegal guns in England now. Geraldo said he never heard those figures before and denounced them because it didn't fit his agenda.
This is typical Anti behavior. Like little children, when they hear something they don't like they stick their fingers in their ears and go la, la, la, la.
I agree with GOA. It's time for us to say NO to all anti-2nd Amendment gun laws. Let's stop giving in and take back our rights. If you aim for a little you will get less in comprimise. If you aim for the whole shooting match what you get will be far greater. People are missinformed that some gun control is good via the NRA.
I can't wait till we can vote for some new decision makers in the NRA.
