I don't live real close to a place to buy all my reloading supplies (I'm still learning and working at my reloading skills) a coworker offered to pick me up some I needed federal 215 primers, well he messed up and got me MG210M also federal but dam near every .300 Weatherby reload calls for the Federal 215 witch I'm sure is a great primer, but has anyone used them in the .300 weatherby or a .300 win mag? Hell I reload .308 and 30-06 as well!!!!

Generally any primer that fits the cup will go bang and ‘Work’ without dangerous results. If you’re trying to change primer on a load you’ve developed to high or above max pressures then DO NOT! Back off to a medium, min load and re-develop with changed primer, but otherwise, if making standard pressure plinking loads then it just doesn’t matter, primers go bang.

I agree with you that Federal Primers is excellent primers with generally the lowest extreme spreads if case prep is done thoroughly. Never had one misfire in 30 years of reloading in any reload done with Federal primer. Nevertheless those larger cases taking more than 60gr powder requires a hot primer especially in cold conditions. My advise is to use them in your 308 and 30-06 and try getting those magnum primers for those large cases.

^^^That's the right answer. The 210M is a match version of the 210 standard rifle primer. The 215's make more gas for starting pressure and the ignition flame likely endures a little longer. Usually, in the bigger cases, lack of that extra gas and flame will lead to wider velocity variation and sometimes to slight ignition delays (on the order of gun lock times) that allow every little shooter movement more time to affect the muzzle position, so groups can open up some.

The 210M is a perfect .308 Win and a very good .30-06 primer, though, as long as you use charges that fill the cases well.
