Glock warranty?

I read someplace that there is a lifetime warranty for the original purchaser of a Glock. What does Glock's warranty cover? What charges are there (registration or for repairs?) Also, what exceptions are there and what voids the warranty? (Also think I read the warranty is voided if reloads are used.) Finally, has anyone had any personal experience with making use of the warranty and have an opinion of their customer service, etc? I am still considering buying a Glock (22) and trying to research as much from owners before committing. Thanks to anyone who replies

I think you have to ask a very important question:
Why do you think your going to use the warranty?
SW has great service, and both of my SW's have been back to the factory.

Glocks? My G21 was sent for the "upgrade", but other than that, I've never worried. I've heard from a great many that the service is Great, but the rest of Glocks haven't needed anything.

Glock has the standard disclaimers that all manufactures have, nothing special.

I don't really expect to use the warranty, considering the tests I've heard of, but I figure its better to find out now than later.

Glocks doesn't have a lifetime warranty. They just believe in customer service. My nine-year old Glock was sent in for the upgrade and they replaced the night sights for free. They didn't even tell me they were going to do it. They just did it. Their slogan "Glock Perfection" says it all. Buy a Gloc -- new, used, or even rebuilt -- and Glock will stand behind it 100%.

Let's see, let me read my Glock warranty. Hmmmm? Oh yeah. Paragraph 1:
"This gun ain't never gonna break or miss so what are you reading this for?"

Glock is very good about this. A buddy blew up his G22 with reloads and Glock charged him $83 to rebuild it!

I sent my older Glock 21 in for the ejection port upgrade, they replaced just about everything inside, and the gun came back looking like a brand new gun. The total time was slightly more than two weeks, the price was $0. FWIW, I bought this gun used, shot it for several years, then sent it in. No questions, no BS, just service.

WalterGAII has had some good experiences with Glock's service. He blew up his G21 that had been converted to 400 Corbon and had other aftermarket parts in it as well. Glock basically replaced it for him for about $200. From what I understand it was more of a replacement than a repair.
