My brother has a glock 26 with a crappy trigger pull. Do any of you guys know of a company that sells light trigger kits or parts for glocks?
Thanks

I carried a Glock that had a crappy trigger, a crappy barrel, crappy magazine, crappy slide, and crappy sights. Then I moved my holster farther forward. Problem solved.
:D

Mmy glock consists mainly of the crapy stock parts. Only thing that is not stock is the front site and the guide rod insert.

I get a pretty decent 3.25# pull with my G30, using a Scherer 3.5# connector and Glock factory trigger spring. I also polished all the metal-to-metal surfaces in the trigger mechanism, including the engagement surface. If you only release the trigger far enough for it to reset, you won't perceive quite so much creep on follow-up shots.

Back to answering your question, another source is:
www.glockworks.com

I got all my trigger components from Glockmeister.

Glock 19
Colt Police Positive .38 Special
Smith & Wesson Model 41
Browning Hi-Power Standard (9mm)

Brownell's - Several 3.5 lb connectors to choose from.

I am with Walter - The Scherer has been the best I have run into... So far I have installed 4 and they work just fine. Only about $18 to $20 I believe....

YMMV...

Thanks for all of the suggestions guys. I'm sure my brother will replace those "crappy" parts with some help from glockmeister.

If you open a dealer account with Brownell's online, you can get the Scherer connector for about $13. To open a dealer account, just answer the queston regarding being in related business that does not require an FFL in the affirmative. You will immediately have a dealer account and will be extended their "trade discounts".

As to my use of the crappy Glock parts: The only non-Glock parts that I use are recoil spring assemblies, barrels, sights, and connector. I also use a Grams extension, which gives me 19 rounds of .45 in the palm of my Southern-fried hand.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND lighter striker (steel for carry, titanium for competition).

I've owned 6 Glocks over the years and I keep wondering when these "crap" parts are going to show themselves. When you treat a Glock like a 1911 and "believe" that you cannot get the best out of the gun without hampering it with tons of aftermarket parts, you are moving into dangerous territory.

Glocks work best right out of the box, All my Glocks are completely stock. The only problem I have ever had with any of them was a failure for the magazine to drop. And if you haven't guessed already, yes it was one of the non drop-free mags. That problem has been corrected.

An additional problem that presents itself, if anyone is planning to use a handgun for carry or self defense, shoveling on aftermarket parts, trigger jobs, ect ect ect... you are digging your own way to a jail cell.

Liberal DA's love to hear the words, modified, trigger job, custom. Give em less rope to hang you with, keep your gun as stock as possible.

P.S. if anyone has any "Crap" Glock parts, send them to me I'll give them a loving home.

I smoothed up the trigger of my G19 with some jewlers rouge and a Dremel with a buffing wheel. Just smooth the drawbar where it makes contact with the disconnector. Go easy here, you only want to smooth, not alter the shape.

Glocks are great stock but the trigger can be improved with the 3.5 pound connectors. Just shoot a Glock 34/35 and notice the difference.

As to modifying the tigger for a carry weapon. Does it matter? The 3.5 pound connector yields a 4 pound pull - hardly a hair trigger. It really just smooths out the pull action.

BTW - If your life is in danger and you are threatened with serious immient harm and you shoot someone with any gun if self defense, whether you have a 3.5 or a 5 poung connector, it doesn't matter.

You protected yourself with the gun you had handly. So if a bad guy comes in your house and the AR-15 is in your hand, you're not to use it - tell the BG to wait for you to get your PC stock Glock.

I've analyzed this legal question and from a legal point it is moot. Your conduct and its justifiablity drives the civil wrongful death suit not your 3.5 connector.

BTW - don't stock connectors polish themselves in time and reduce the trigger pull poundage anyway. You can't tell me a 10 year old Glock 17 has a full stock pull.

Carry what you want and keep your finger off the trigger unless you have fully decided that you have no other alternatives and must shoot.
