Glock Subcompacts VS Compacts

I notice that my G26 outshoots my G19 accuracy wise. Also the same with my G27 vs a G23 that I owned in the past. I attribute this to the dual recoil spring system in the mini-Glocks increasing cycle time thus improving accuracy. Anyone else see the same results and opinions as to why. Thanks.

Tom,
No, I haven't noticed any difference yet between my G26, and G19. Then again, I am still trying to get used to the little darlings. :)

With me, it's variable. Some days I can shoot the 26 better, other days I can shoot the 19 better. Any day I can easily shoot my 34 better! :D

I'm not sure how a change in "cycle time" affects accuracy? Are you susggesting that the slide's cyclic rate has some bearing on it?

Make mine lean, mean, and 9x19!

9x19 - The theory that I have read is that the dual recoil rod assembly takes slightly longer to compress once the bullet has been fired. This increased slide cycle time means that the bullet has traveled further down or out of the barrel as it begins to unlock thus aiding in accuracy. I am not sure if all my terms were correct. I read this discussion as some of the experts were talking about the exceptional accuracy of the G30 and why. This type recoil assembly also accounts for the perceived reduction in recoil. Just some food for thought.

I shoot both just fine. For ccw purposes I can't tell the difference.

I was out in the Hill Country with friends and we were plinking. We set up some extra clay pigeons at 100 yards and just plink away. I was using my 10/22 with iron sights.
However, there was just one pigeon I couldn't it. Next to it, over it, before it. Bah.

So I took out my 26 and fire one shot and nailed it. Reholstered and looked pleased.
Didn't not try to repeat :)

Tom,
I thought it was just me, but I also shoot my 27 better than my 23.
I do not know the reason, but I believe it to be the dual recoil spring. I don't know about the cycle time and what not, I just think that the control is better, less 'perceived' recoil makes me flinch less, and I have more confidence.
It might be my imagination, like dumbo's magic feather, but I just think it is more controlable.

Yes, for some reason the mini-Glocks seem to be inherintly more accurate, I own two Glocks
a 23 & 33, even though they are diff. calibers, My 33 is more accurate.
I also shoot a Dept. issued Glock 21, which I bought a G30 for off-duty concealed carry, and the G30 was again the more accurate of the two.
I have committed a sin though, and traded my G30 in for my G33 of which I now carry alot ( as well as a Kel-Tec P40, or Taurus M85 Ultralight .38) but mostly my G33 Mini which is a .357Sig .

SHOOT,COMMUNICATE AND MOVE OUT !

I agree on the 27. Went out yesterday to the
range with mine, and the more I shoot it, the better I like it.
I was using Corbon 165gr. & some Blazer 180.
The Corbon was the more accurate round.
Am considering buying a 35 to have a nice pair.

I have the 30 and the 20. I have to admit, my 30 is "easier" to shoot. The 20 CAN be just as accurate, but it takes more practice to master. I think all Glocks are equally accurate, its the shooter that is in-accurate.
