Glock striker assembly

Being the meticulous guy that I am, I like to get into every nook and cranny when it comes to cleaning my guns. Along this same line, I wonder if there is an easy way to dismantle the Glock striker assembly for thorough inspection and cleaning. Can this be done at home a la Walther P99? Or does it require special tools?

Advice... links... anything is ok.

No special tools are required. I would suggest going to GlockMeister.com for the disassembly graphics.

It doesn't require special tools, but it CAN take 4 hands; the easy way to do it is to hold the slide in a non-marring vise with the striker channel pointing up; place the striker assembly in the channel BACKWARDS, and push down on the striker spring to remove the cups. Once the cups are off, everything else follows them off. Be careful not to lose the cups, or you'll be out of action until you can get some new ones.
