Glock Scores With the 357 SIG

The New Mexico State Police are the most recent State Police Agency to adopt the 357 SIG, this time using the "Glock 31".

Others will be sure to follow after testing the mellow shooting, accurate, powerful 4.5" barreled Glock 31, which has a well supported chamber (Bullet setback issues which can cause a 357SIG to kaBoom, have been solved by the ammo companies and the saavy reloaders; I'm only aware of one such kB! because of this issue).

For you "other" caliber fans, be sure to read the May 2000 edition of Gun World, entitled "Getting the Most From the 357 SIG". This is a fairly complete guide to available ammo. It's sure to piss off the 357SIG naysayers. But it's actually a very good article on what's available at the moment.

Thanks for the update! I will keep an eye out for the mag.
The more Police agencies use .357 Sig, the more street results they get, the more this round proves itself as a top notch stopper following in the tracks of the legendary .357 Magnum.
I can't wait to see what the future holds.

Great article!! I picked it up yesterday. I also have to agree with the accuracy "reports" of the .357SIG round. Both my Glocks in this caliber are very accurate, especially on speed drills, double/triple taps, and multiple target drills. They run circles around my G22 in these drills!

The only misfeeds I have had were with cheap Atlanta Arms ammo (weak loads - didn't fully function slide). With 125gr Speer LAWMAN and Federal 125gr JHP ammo it functions absolutely flawlessly. I have also put one box of Speer Gold Dots through it without a bobble. Very accurate load in my G31C.

The only thing I'd do different is delete the "C" option for a duty pistol. Guess I'll just have to buy another Glock. Darn!!

I haven't read the article (hope I can find the mag) but my Glock 32 is supremely accurate. It hits EXACTLY where I aim it. The ONLY way that I do not shoot one-hole groups is because I am not a good enough shot. The gun is far better than I. But, I can shoot 3/4" groups all day long at 7 yards with it FREEHAND (standing mod weaver), and I know the gun could do better. My Glock 19 and Glock 23 cannot keep up and the groups immediatly open up when I use those guns. I have tested this with other people and it holds true. The .357 Sig really is a more accurate round, no matter what the neysayers (who have never even shot it) say.

I own a (I KNOW ???) a SigPro in this caliber and happen to live right near the central valley where very human like maaterial targets are available for FREE (melons, drums(plastic),et.) are avilable and can guarantee that the .357sig round is a killer.
