Glock P-Mags.

Has anyone here tried or heard anything about them?

Locally, it's a PITA to find factory Glock mags. There isn't going to be a shortage of Glock 9mm P-Mags though.

Thoughts? Tests?

I know Glock mags run great. Curious to see some testaments on here with Glock P-Mags. Since they're so many of them locally...Thought I'd ask someone who isn't behind a counter that just wants a sale.

...and the standard capacity ones have pretty much gone out of stock :(. Sale's been on for a while so I guess that's out. I have enough of them now I don't really think about it.

I seem to remember people having okay luck with them, there have just been so many sales lately that the price difference hasn't seemed worth it for me.

Ugh. I've spent too much time getting SIG mags that I've neglected Glock and 1911 magazines.

Alright, thanks anyways. Hopefully someone chimes in with a good review or two.

Ive been using Pmags in my G19 as range/training mags for a cpl months. So far they are 100% reliable.

I do have 1 complaint but its not related to function of the mags. They dont have witness holes for round count. There is a "fully loaded" window, but thats it.

So, does that mag hold 7?, 10?, or 14?

Its not an issue for carry mags, just stuff those full. But for range mags its a nice feature

Mine has been 100% as well only complaint is they don't use the same base plate if you wanted to put a plus two extension on it. When I was researching it there were no brands making +2s for them there may be now. But I just use mine as a training mag and have been meaning to buy a few more

Yeah they work well... I find them for $12. Not much cheaper than the Glock mags when they are on sale, but significant difference at the $25 average I see the Glock mags local.

I grabbed a few for range use.

Everything I hear is good but, I'll tell ya this. If they come out with a .380 mag before one for my .40, I'm gonna be. Can't get a straight answer out of them when that might be. Bet Glocks not happy.:D

Constantine,

Off topic but you said you've negelected 1911 mags....on sale at Brownells also, Wilson Combat ETM's for $26......fyi

I've been shooting a PMAG 17 GL9 along with my Glock mags for a couple months now. So far it's every bit as good as any of my Glock OEM magazines.

I haven't tried them yet but I got 5 in the mail yesterday. I'm going to use those and a few 33 rd mags with my Wilson Combat AR9 I've got ordered.

I purchased a couple of these a few days ago. Fit in the gun and function seem just as good as the factory mags. I've run about 250 rounds through them, with no hiccups whatsoever. Seem to be up to Magpul's usually high standards. They certainly are a bargain ($15.99, vs. about $30 for the original Glock mags). The only concern I have is that the P-mags don't have the metal reinforcement of the factory Glock mags....so I wonder about long-term reliability.

Cheap as they are, though, I am not overly concerned....(only slightly).

I bought one at the last local gun show for my G19, mainly as a training mag. They have a thicker base, and aren't as solid as factory mags (lacking the metal), but they work flawlessly. I plan to get several more.

I own 5 of the PMags for the Glock 19. So far they have performed flawlessly. I will be purchasing more for sure. I really like how easy the baseplate can be removed compared to the OEM Glock magazine.
