Glock NY 1 trigger, does it increase trigger travel to discharge?

Does the NY1 trigger increase the travel to discharge, or just the weight of the pull?

Also, would their be a difference in velocity between the 3.8in bbl of the G-30 vs. the 4in. bbl of a ruger P97?

Thanks in advance,
long shot!

NY1 trigger just increases pull weight.

Velocity difference in .2" of of barrel is not enough to make a difference.

6mm is correct. The resistance is greater. When I had mine on my G21, it almost felt like a 2-stage trigger with some stacking right before the letoff. I found that my accuracy during rapid fire was better with it.

It does not increase the trigger travel, it increases the resistance,

I have the 3.5# connectors in 3 out of 4 of my Glocks, and the lighter trigger definately improved my ability to shoot them accurately.

I have shot Glocks w/ the NY setup, and I didn't like it.

There could be quite a difference between velocities between the 3.8" G30 and 4" P97 as Glock barrels tend to shoot faster than conventionally rifled barrels. Not to mention that even two identical looking 45 barrels could have more than a 75 fps difference between them. Only a chrono will tell you the facts of those particular barrels.

The NY triggers simulate the stacking of a double action pull and I don't care for the feel them. Then again I don't like the feel of any double action first shot trigger. Standard Glock trigger spring is fine with me.
