Glock magazines without secondary internal baseplate -- bad or OK?

Just got around to taking off +2 base from one of the magazines fitted with it. Replaced it with regular flush baseplate and noticed that the hole in it which is used for a retaining tab on newer magazines is not used for anything. SHould I get the internal baseplates somewhere and retrofit my mags or not worry about it?

For most Glock mags, the baseplates are recommended. For Glock 21 mags, the baseplate with the spring guide (Glock part #5397) is essential.

I am more worried about G17 magazines (they have always worked in 17 and 19 round configurations but I am not eager to push my luck). What's a good place to get those internal baseplates?
