Glock Grip Plug

I was at my dealers the other day, and purchased a couple of those plugs for the ugly hole at the bottom of the Glock grip. I have to admit, I like the way it changed the look of the pistol.

I always hated that gap, although I understand the combat reasons for leaving that hole. But I shoot my Glocks for fun and self defense, have no need for speed retraction of magazines, and will never attach a lanyard.

So, I thought this little addition to my G19 and G17 quite pleasing from the eyes point of view. Does anyone know of a disadvantage other than those stated that would preclude this slight modification?

Ummmm....

Where do you buy those grip plugs, and do they fit all models?

I have a G21 and G26.

Hello. I use one in my G26 to keep lint out as I carry in a pocket holster. Looking from the bottom upward, you can see a spring or two and it's just a matter of time before crud works its way into the guts of the thing. Yup, it can be detailed, but I don't see how the plug can do anything to hurt and only help prevent the problem I mention.

Mine kept coming loose, so I used a drop of Loc-tite Blue to solve the problem.

Best.

I have 3.5 oz brass slugs in both my G26 and G34. With both pistols, it helps with guiding the mags in when changing. Also, they both seem more balanced in my hands. The balance seems more neutral, especially with the G26. I was sceptical when I was told about them, but since installing them, I'm sold.

Multi-use!

It helps keep scalp out of the channel also, when you konk the BG over the head with it!SAFE-SHOOTING!

Actually, one of the Glock's "Achilles Heels" is the fact that gunk can get up through the gap and bung up the trigger bar spring and disconnector. Adding the plastic plug is cheap insurance, but of course Glock would never admit that it's a good idea.
