Glock grip extenders

Has anyone ever successfully gotten a pearce grip extender on their Glock mag, without going to a smith? I've come to the conclusion that I need 2 extra (and very beefy) arms to accomplish this task.

The trick is to push a punch (or something like that) into the hole on the old base about two inches, until it goes all the way in and flips the floorplate over on its side. Then you can press the two sides in with one hand while sliding the base off with the other. I sometimes have to rest the edge of the base against a table edge or something and push it off.

I second the suggestion, if you have an allen wrench or similar object, just push the floor plate in so you can pinch the magazine and slide the base off.M33
