For the purpose of this exercise lets assume that both are readily available.
What do you see as the pros and cons of these two weapons.

I just purchased a new 245 sig..and am very pleased with it , as with all sigs it is very accurate right out of the box, and will digest any 45 ammo.my son just bought a glock 30. you are right they are both hard to find. but really you cant go wrong with either. I do feel however that down the road the sig will retain a better used value.btw my next purchase will probably be a glock.

If I did not have my G30, I probably would have bought the Sig P245

The only reason I didn't buy the Sig to begin with is because I couldn't find one locally for the price I wanted to pay. ($585 or better)

The SIG is the better gun. It's slightly more reliable and considerably more accurate in my experience. Don't get me wrong, I love Glocks. Nobody has the capacity they do in the small package they offer. They are also very durable, reliable, and rather inexpensive. They also point-shoot better, because the bore axis on a Glock is closer to the grip. I'd still go with the SIG, if the choice were mine.
