Does anyone know about the gen 4 g23 I Could buy one for 489.00 the guy selling it never shot it just put bulits in it I just want to know if there is any problem with the gen 4 Guns I don't have any G4 just G3 thank you

Just got a G19 Gen4, in Flat Dark Earth. Haven't shot it yet but it seems to be real nice. I like the tiny little beaver tail that comes as one of the back straps. The trigger pull is pretty good for a double action. I think you have a good deal in sight at that price. Is it the traditional black model or one of the new fancy colors, they charge a little extra for the colors ?

Mine's a Gen4 G19, but it's been very good. Perhaps not "Perfection," but very good nonetheless.

I don't know of any particular problems with the Gen4 G23s, but am certainly willing to be corrected if anyone knows differently . . . .

I carried one as a duty weapon for a few years until I retired. Our agency was a Glock .40 duty carry agency where we purchased our own weapons. I have small hands so the G23 was perfect for me, and it was concealable for off-duty carry.

The downside was that it gave me brass to the face for about the first 150 rounds, and then the problem ended. After that was over, it worked as advertised with no further problems. I sold it to a younger officer when I left since I went to 9mm and .380, but I'd go back to that particular pistol and caliber if I came out of retirement.

The Gen 4 Glock 23, in my opinion, is only the second best pistol ever invented.

The Gen 3 Glock 19, in my opinion, is the best.

I prefer .40 caliber Glocks (as well as 10mm Glocks) in Gen 4 because the extra texture gives me a surer grip.

The size, accuracy, reliability, weight, function, simplicity, capacity, and shape of the Glock 19/23/32 pistols make them the best.

After that, it's just a matter of caliber preference.

The only legitimate weakness is the soft plastic factory sights. They can easily be replaced with steal sights.
