Glock compatibility question

I have never owned a glock and do not know much about them. I am interested in a smallish carry size pistol chambered in .400 corbon, just for the fun of reloading and to have different. I only see full-size glock conversion barrels for .45 to .400. 1st question- what's the smallest .45 glock? 2nd- do they make a conversion barrel 3rd- if not, are all glock .45 barrels interchangeable? like, will they all fit the action/slide the same. could I just buy the longer conversion and have it cut to length?

The smallest Glock 45 is the Glock 36, followed by the 30S, and then the 30/30SF. The 30S has a thinner slide than the 30, but the same frame as the 30SF.

The full sized Glock 45's are the 21 and 41. A 21 barrel will not work in any other Glock 45 , same for the 41. A 30 barrel will not work in a 30S or 36, but a 30S and 36 will swap out.

So you're best bet there, if wanting the smallest with aftermarket barrel options, is the Glock 30 (Gen4, Gen3 SF or regular Gen3 use the same barrels).

Also look into the .40 Super, it's a .45 Win Mag shortened to the same case length as the 10mm but necked down to .400". It's a good bit more potent than either the 10mm or .400 Corbon. BUT the .400 Corbon is pretty good too, just don't see much of it. You can get barrels for both for the Glock 30 (and the bigger 21).

my main interest in the corbon was the fact that I can use readily available 45acp brass. 45WM sounds expensive, although I don't really know anything about it. I just have not a need for another full size gun, was hoping to do something interesting for a carry piece, thought glock would be the most customizable. but I don't see any kind of conversion specifically for the smaller guns, likely the fact that most use custom calibers for comp. worth a try
