Glock being attacked by White House boycott

Guess it's time to start buying Glock's. SOMEBODY has to take up the slack for the PD's.

I wonder if anyone has asked the officers who will be affected by this if they like the idea of changing weapons or not. Given the choice, I am quite certain that they would prefer the Glock over any auto-loader that Smith & Wesson could come up with.

Perhaps one of our TFL attorneys can correct me here, but as I recall, our various levels of government are usually exempt from antitrust laws. Too bad.

I'm still impressed by the ethical depravity of this move. Governments want to coerce certain behavior from private industry, and will do so by collusion and, effectively, conspiracy. Pretty impressive in the land of the free and the home of the brave.

I do wonder if the anti-self defense movement has erred in this strategy, due to the probable impact on LEO's. Won't LEO's be, let us say, uncomfortable to know that their equipment must now pass through a politically correct purchasing process? For that matter, has the FOP or any other organized LEO group commented on the idea of purchasing firearms based upon political motivations?

The Law Enforcement Alliance of America (I think that's the name of the group) joined with the National Shooting Sports Foundaton in filing their lawsuit on the subject. It would be great if police union locals in each of the litigant cities countersued their own city for politicizing their safety.
