Glock barrel possibilities questions.

I was wondering if I can get a 9mm barrel for the Glock 32? Or visa versa, if I can get a 357Sig barrel for the Glock 19?

I can only afford 1 gun, but I want to be able to shoot 9mm, .40, and .357Sig.

So if you barrel experts out there would let me know, I'd appreciate it! Links to those answers of who makes them and how much would be even better!

Shoot safe,
Albert

Bar-sto (sp? hyphenation?) makes after-market barrels for many weapons, and some of their designs allow for caliber changes, too. (Its not a simple change -- more than just swapping stock barrels -- as headspace is affected.) Do a search on Bar-Sto.

This offers the added advantage, if you reload, of being able to shoot lead bullets in a Glock, as the Bar-Sto barrels are not
polygonal. (Polygonal barrels are incompatible with lead bullets.)

get the G32 (.357) and a Glock factory .40 will fit fine. If you want a 9mm barrel, olympic arms will do, but they are on back order. You can not shoot a .357 or .40 out of a G19 because the barrel lug will not fit, you have to cut into the slide !
if you go to glocktalk and do a search on this subject you will find lots of answers.
G32 is your best bet to have all three cal. good luck

Start with the 357 sig gun. You can drop in a 40 barrel. Glock says dont put a 357 sig barrel in a 40 frame,as the 357 sig frames are beefed up.

If you also want to shoot 9mm through the gun,you will have to install a 9mm trigger group before you do so. Also, the 9mm barrel will be loose in the slide.

So,ideally, you would need to buy a slide, barrel, and trigger group to accomplish this mission. Also, you would always make sure you never forget to put in the proper trigger groups.

If it was me,I wouls get the 357 sig gun,a 40 barrel, and then get one of the used law enforcement trade ins in 9mm,which can be had for under 400 bucks or so.

Hope this is of some help.

And BTW,Glock says dont do any of this.

Thanks.

I generall wanted the 9mm for availability of ammo and also the price of ammo. I will probably go with a 357Sig though.

There was a link posted by someone a while back, about mail ordering the ammo, I don't know what the name or link is, if someone will post it here, that would be great!

It was like $125 for 500 rnds.

BTW, Bar-Sto is www.barsto.com I have checked.

Thanks!
Albert
