Glock bacckorder

I just ordered a Glock 23c from my local dealer.I was told the pistol was on backorder, and that I would have to wait an unspecified amount of time because quote "Glock is slow to ship new orders."Has anyone else had this happen?Any guesses on what kind of wait I'm in for?

My friend has a 17C on backorder too. My dealer told me that glock is 70,000 guns behind orders right now. I believe it's true because her glock rep told this to her. I understand that glock will fill orders for military and LE agencies first and then take care of us little people. FWIW I'd expect to wait at least a few months and mayby as long as six or eight. Sorry about the bad news.

Sounds like they aren't bothering to make compensated versions much, probably because they don't sell those to cops and military very much. When I chose my gun from a raffle recently I remarked that I wanted a 17 but might be interested in the "C" version. I was told they would ship the 17 immediately or put me on list to wait indefinitely for the 17C since the distributors are making no promises as to when there will be more available. I just went for the plain 17--like it matters much with 9mm--but I still haven't got it. I'd say EVERYTHING is going pretty slow and compensated models are the worst.

But surely you guys have handheld drills, right? Where's your ingenuity? If the tenifer is too hard for your drill bit, you could always make a bow drill with an obsidian point. Gives your Glock that "primitive" look.
:)

Went to my local FFL a few months back looking for a G27. He mentioned that none of his distributors could get glocks of any kind at the moment..so, I called a shop in the next county and promptly put a credit card deposit on one I had seen there. The story Ive heard is that Glock is considering jumping on the "smart gun" bandwagon and that those in the know are buying like crazy before Glock makes the transition. Don't know the validity of the story, but it wouldnt surprise me, living in CA has numbed me a bit.

Hey i just got the 31 and they had a no problem with any of them in fact the only one they was out of was the full size 10mmwhich he told me he could getin a day or too,Course i live here in Ga. and that may have something to do with it but the stock ive seen around town is the same down here! The dealer i use normally has atleast 30 of the glocks on hand or more and 5-10 used ones!

and by the way just what exactly is the tenifer finish ive heard that it is good but how good is it.does it compare to black T ?
