Glock at the SHOT show....

Anyone know if Glock is having anything new down the line? I.e. if I get one in the future, will something better come out next month? I understand they're on their 3rd generation of pistols right now (finger grooves, accsy rails, etc.)

As I understand it, nothing but the (YUCK) internal locking system. Possibiliy a cave in to the MASSive People's Republic!!! :barf:

ON ALL THEIR PISTOLS?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!??!?! IS THIS OPTIONAL OR WILL I HAVE TO GET ONE NOW BEFORE THEY CAVE IN?! WHEN IS THIS CHANGE EXPECTED TO TAKE PLACE? THIS IS NUCKIN' FUTS

Have recently seen pictures of Glock proprietary weapons lights. They're big looking and ugly, but if it's stamped by Glock, I'd give it it's due.

There was something new at the Shot Show - Glocks in different
colors. If I recall correctly, there was a blue Glock and a red Glock.
And of course, pretty cool Glock party, free food, unlimited drinks, music and dancers from the Glock family for the show participants, not a new event, 'cause they do it every show. It was really cool, by the way...

Pre-SHOT Show, they were saying that a full line of slimline pistols was in the works. After 9/11, they've probably got more business with their reg. line than they can shake a stick at, so that may be on hold.

Sweet! A full-size .45ACP that will fit mags with a G36?

Different color glocks

Just so you know. They aren't new, and they aren't really guns. One of them is the inert trainer. The other only fires simunitions.

Spectre,

I've been clamoring for a full-size, slimline Glock 10mm for a while, now...

Then a careful look at the "10mm Auto" line from this scan taken from the docs of my G30 should make you cry. ;)

I spend a lot of time on the phone with Glock and right now, the hands down favoite for development is a competition model slimline in 45 ACP to compete with the 1911 crowd.

Any locking features would be on current models in production. So you don't need to run out. Trying to retrofit 2M Glocks from 1985 to present would be costly.

As to colored Glocks, maybe those were their LE training models but some third party vendors color the polymer frames. Looks rediculous to me. Ruins the gun and its value.

As to another 10mm, love the round but forget it. While the sales of the G20 and G29 are fine, there' no huge market potential for growth.

The 357 SIG Glocks just filled that gap for people wanting serious temrinal performance in a compact or subcompact Glock.
