Glock 43?

I just bought a Glock 43. What is the best/most comfortable inside the waste band holster for my situation?

7 days a week I wear baggy cargo shorts, and a t-shirt. I have never conceal carried with an inside the waist band holster,I have always pocket carried a small 380acp pistol.

I'm not sure if pocket carrying a Glock 43 will be best as opposed to IWB carry.

I want to also note that I am in the lawn care business so I like to be able to carry while working. Sitting on a mower, walk behind mowing, edging, weed eating, etc.

It would really suck to spend almost $70 ,and it not work out for me in my situation. I do appreciate the suggestion. Maybe I'll look around online and see if this specific holster can be purchased much cheaper.

Take a look at Cook's Holsters. Quality Kydex that wont absorb sweat or lose retention. I have an owb and iwb holster from him for my xds. Very happy with them and their prices/turn around time.

I think that a kydex holster is not the best option for me. It seems that a kydex hoslter itself will not be a narrow in size as opposed to the n82 tactical type holster. I know that there is the option of the clipdraw for the most narrow ,but that will not have anything to cover the trigger with just the clipdraw alone. I prefer to have a bullet chambered when I carry.

IMHO in your line of work you'll ditch IWB with such a large gun by lunchtime. It's a great way to carry if you never bend over and just walk around upright most of the time. You'll find kydex or leather hot, sweaty, and bulky...guaranteed...then you add the gun. LOL

There's a reason you have a 380...weight and size are a concern when you're active and working. IF you can pocket carry the 43 that's probably the ideal, not in the way of working solution, if you can't OWB carry and conceal well enough with your work wear.

I've done landscaping wearing a Glock 26. I don't know that I can agree with calling a Glock 43 "such a large gun".

A good belt and a good holster will be the key. As for holsters I like the Alien Gear Cloak Tuck 3.0. If you don't like it you can return it within 30 days for a full refund minus the cost of shipping. For belts in leather I like the DeSantis Plain Lined Belt or the Wilderness Tactical Instructor's Belt 5-stitch if you prefer nylon.

Some of these things aren't overly cheap. Buy from places like MidwayUSA or the like that allow returns. Also keep in mind that a good belt and holster will last you literally years. When you spread the cost over that time it's a very minor cost.

Yeah, it would. It will. Holster choice is very individual, which is why your question will probably get a variety of answers.

The one who finds his or her "just right" holster the first time is one of the fortunate few. Google up "holster drawer"

I would say, start with a DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster, and try that for a while.

Blade-Tech Klipt

I know that there is the option of the clipdraw

I wouldn't carry with a loaded chamber with this method, but it is very concealable.

I would not carry using anything that required me to carry with no round in the chamber.

I don't have any advice regarding specifc IWB holsters, but I can speak to pocket carry.
There is a classic experiment where a banana is put into a jar that has a mouth big enough for the banana to fit through, and big enough for a monkey's empty hand to fit through, but not big enough for a monkey's hand that is holding onto a banana to fit through.
In my experience this experiment can be duplicated by pocket carrying the 43.
It fits fine in my pocket and I can easily grasp the pistol. I cannot, however, get my hand out of my pocket while grasping the pistol.

Lawndoctor1---Anybody holster hunting has my sympathy. It's usually an exercise in frustration and futility.

That said you could get lucky and find one right off. IMhO it's a real crapshoot.

My only recommendations would be to make sure you get quality components, which usually means spending more, and I have a suspicion that a good BELT that gives the holster a good base might be really important.

I felt so strongly about holsters that I even posted my own holster rant a year ago. It's here:

I still enjoy reading the solution posed by member AA040371 (long gone now).

Good luck.

I would get something with a sweat shield,The Blade Tech Klipt mentioned above is a good functional budget holster.

I have one for my XDS-es, which is why I mentioned it. It works pretty well, except I don't totally trust the belt clip. But at this point I don't totally trust anything I've tried to date with clips.

I think it's intended for AIWB, the discussion of which is a whole 'nother can of worms in the Internet Gunsphere.

(Note, not the same holster as the "Klipt-Ambi", )

Laugh all you want, but the holster I use for working outdoors is a fanny pack. The pistol is fairly readily available, and more protected from dirt, clippings, rain, and sweat, than many other holster types. I know it isn't much of a fashion statement, but neither are the rest of my yard clothes.

I use a simple Nano Blade Tech with polymer clip. Works perfect for IWB or OWB (under the belt.) I use it for ULTRA concealment when my Glock 26 or 22 just won't do.

On that small a gun, any IWB will be easy to conceal the gun, and should be comfortable. Sure, a more expensive holster will be more comfortable, but any holster should be acceptable. For instance, my $20 something DeSantis Sof-Tuck holser isn't quite as comfortable as my Theis hybrid when carrying my SIG P290RS, but it is comfortable.

So, I suggest buying a less expensive (but quality) IWB now just to see if you like it, and then get the better holster later. Spend $20-30 on a cheaper leather IWB from DeSantis, Bianchi or Galco, or one of the Amazon only brands (maybe Barsony) now to see if you like it, then if you do, spend the $50+ for a higher quality holster.

I have a pile of holsters for this gun, I find my pocket holster the most comfortable when doing work of out side stuff. They are not expensive, look like a wallet in your pocket and completely cover the trigger
