glock 42 trigger malfunction

Hi all

I posted recently about my lack of accuracy with my g42, I can say with dry fire, practice and a ghost edge connector, all of my issues were remedied. Last week I installed the connector and put 200 rounds through her today without a malfunction.

Afterwards I field stripped the gun and cleaned per usual and then I noticed a major issue. I went to function check the gun, after depressing the trigger and cycling the slide, the trigger didn't return to its forward position. So I went stripped/reassembled and didn't notice any issues. Dry fired some more and about 1/5 - 1/10 cycles of dry fire the trigger doesn't reset and takes multiple times of cycling the slide to reset. Even cycling with a magazine and locking the slide back and fulling releasing without using the slide release doesn't always fix the issue. Any thoughts????

There's a lot of youtube videos on the subject of replacement connectors causing problems.
Have you tried putting the original one back in and seeing what happens?
There's also youtube videos about trigger resetting or failure to do so.
It might be the striker spring, according to one video.

Take your Glock apart and then reinstall everything. My guess is that there is a hangup with one of the pins that secure the Glock together. Something similar happened to me with a Glock 34.
