Glock 41 oddities

Took my G-41 to the range for the first time this weekend. I out 107 rounds through it and while it grouped extremely well and was one-hundred percent reliable, I had several WTH moments. A couple of times I managed to depress the magazine release under recoil. And twice I encountered some significant trigger slap. I have never felt more fatigued after shooting a modest amount of ammo. After a hundred rounds of Winchester white box 230 grn FMJ I shot 7 230 grain Federal Hydra Shocks...which felt significantly lighter than the ball ammo.

However, my best two groups of 20 rounds fell under 2.5 inches from 30 ft. standing, using a 50 ft slow fire target. I haven't been shooting in almost a year so, this was more than good for me.

I need to smooth out what has got to be the roughest Glock trigger I have ever encountered. The medium back strap with the beaver tail felt the best in firing, but I also plan to file down the finger grooves. magazine release and reduce the thickness of the trigger guard.

I think with some slight modifications, I will have the perfect home and field defense handgun. Oh yeah, the stock sights have to go...straight eights here I come.
