This is a new G36, hasn't been fired unless at the factory. I noticed it right away, but figured it was typical of modern day tolerances.
I found this youtube video which describes a gun with similar symptoms at 0:55, and thought that must be the problem with mine, but the groove in the slide lock is facing rearward as it should (according to the video).

According to the pic from the Glock website the slide should extend a bit past the front of the frame with the corners at the 45 degree bevels on the slide and frame lining up. Mine isn't like that, the front slide is behind the front of the frame and the bevels are about 1/16" out of alignment. Of course the slide also hangs over a bit in the back.
Am I overlooking something, or should I contact Glock?
