Glock 36 pinky pinching

I've got a G36 that shoots great and I'm overall fond off, except that it pinches my pinky finger when I fire. When it cycles, the mag seems to get pulled deeper into the well and compresses any skin that might be between the magazine and the grip. Has anyone successfully remedied this, or have any ideas that might work?

Thanks in advance,
Doug

I've never experienced this (fat fingers I suppose) but my suggestion is to purchase the Pearce baseplate extention. This will give you a fuller firing grip to avoid placing your pinky finger in the space between frame and baseplate.

Good luck,

I had the same problem with my G36. I was one of the minor annoyances that led to the decision to part from her. I don't believe that the magazine being pulled any deeper into the magwell is causing the pinching. If you wiggle your magazine back and forth you will find that you can move it in the mag well. I'm pretty sure the recoil is causing the magazine to move forward in the magwell and pinch your finger.

I never tried an aftermarket magazine base in my G36. My cure was to wear a pair of gloves while shooting. My weightlifting gloves did double duty for workouts and shooting.

The G30 also has a bit of play in the fit of the magazine in the well, but not quite as excessive as the G36.

Good Shooting
