Which of these guns would you guys buy? I have two glocks now a 17 and a 26 and love them both. But I also love sig's handguns thair grip angle and design are very comfortabl for me and I've had two sigs before a 220 and a 228 in .40 both were great guns.

I am going to be going and rent a glock 36 next week so I'll let your guys know how I like it but till then give me your thoughts on this issue. Both these guns are about the same size and weight and both are very thin so help me decide here please. Thanks in advance guys.

The SIG 245 is the way to go.
If you must havve a Glock, try the 30. From the 36's I have fired (only 3), I think they come up way short of the 30.
Each has some drawbacks, but the 245 is easier to control and far more accurate. For this type of gun, I don't think accuracy is as important a mechanical reliablity. Either should do.
BYW, I don't think SIG made the 228 in .40S&W.

I own or have at one time owned all the handguns that you have listed and nothing fits my hand better than the Glock 36.
It has quickly become my favorite. I also love my Glock 19 and my Sig's 220 & 228, but I think the 36 is the best fit for my hand. It feels much better in hand than my 27.

I have never handled a P245, (one of the few that I haven't) but can't imagine that it could feel any better than the 36.

Also with the extra weight, thickness, and cost, it wasn't even a factor when I was looking for a compact .45.

I got my Glock 36 with night sights and tax for about the same price as the Sig with standard sights before tax.

I love Sigs also, but for me this was a no brainer.

Both are great firearm's; but it just happens that I prefer
Sig's, for all the right reasons. Therefore, I must recommend
the P245; although I carry the full sized P220 daily.:D  :)

I had the same dilemma. I borrowed a G36 and P245 from friends and headed to the range with 200 rounds of FMJ. I found I didn't like either. You might want to look at .40's.

I had a P245----it worked ok and all that---its just that I didn't like it---so I ditched it. I don't like the feel of the Glock .45's either---but I do like the G19.

I have a 1911 now for my .45 in the collection.

Having owned both, I can say that both are excellent pistols in their own rights. Both are unique and you won't really be able to tell until you try both out.

With the Glock I found that it was extremely easy to carry and felt smaller than the Sig. It was also super accurate. I did have the problem of my pinkie being pinched by the magazine during firing, annoying at the very least. Other than that it was a great weapon.

The Sig tended to recoil a bit more and you will get a nice pinch if you aren't careful doing a reload. The accuracy wasn't as good as the Glock in my opinion and it did recoil a bit more. It was also a thicker feeling pistol in my wasteband. I will say that the Sig had a beautiful trigger pull. Both double and single action were great. The workmanship is what you would expect from Sig.

Again, both have their own little quirks, but if I had to choose between the two for a serious everyday carry pistol...I choose the Glock.

You may have owned a P229 in .40 S&W, but the P228 is only chambered in 9mm. (Must have been a typo.:p)

As for your question, handle both, shoot them if able. I don't like the feel of the 36 in my hand, but I like the P245. Only you can make the choice.

Sig or Glock .45

I actually like them both but your best choice is spelled SSSSSSS IIIIIIII GGGGGGG Guess I'd have to go with the Sig huh ? Here is a picture of my little custom beauty.
