Glock 36, is it true?

Are the Glock 36's finally available? I saw a bid on one over at gunbroker.com. I have a feeling it might just be a preorder rip-off. When is Glock going to finally let us have it?

I saw one in a gun shop last Saturday. It was marked "Not for sale." I think it was spoken for, and the owner was holding it for display for a week so people could see it and know they are real!

I bought mine in Atlanta on Friday last week. They suddenly showed up all over town. Nice package. Prices around here are $549 (what I paid) to $699.

Not too many glock people liked it. I would much rather go with 10 rounds of 10mm G29 with pinky extensions than 6 rounds of .45 G36. Many people that have both the G30 and the G36 liked the G30 better. I have the G30 and was thinking of getting the G36 but now i think the G29 is going to be my next glock

What a major disappointment. I had been hearing about a "slim" Glock .45 going to be available. Silly me, but I had envisioned a fullsize Glock .45 with a slimmed and shortened grip, sort of like a Commander slide on an Officer model sized frame. But alas, it turns out to be yet another "pocket" gun with an absurdly short barrel. Oh well. I'll stick with my custom model 22 that takes g23 mags.

Ya, the idea of only 6 .45 rounds seems sort of silly. I already have a 27. Maybe I should get a 10mm too since I reloaded a 1000 rounds for a friend, but he only bought 500. I can't have 500 10mm rounds laying around the house without a gun to shoot them through!

Well, the idea of having only 6 + 1 rounds of firepower doesn't bother me. After all, that's exactly what an Officer's Model 1911 carries. I look at the G36 as a lighter, smoother Officer's-type.

Shoot, not even 12 hours after I originally posted to this thread, I ended up buying one!

($599, by the way - Denton, TX)

Gents,

about that 6-round magazine capacity...is that 6 rounds flush-fit, with the potential for seven with a +1 magazine base? Or is that six rounds even with the extended base, as shown in that one picture we've all seen?
